The purpose of this website is to provide up-to-date information about the ABCD region and to further carry the NA message. The ABCD Region serves a large geographic area that is stretched over four states: New York, Massachusetts, Vermont and New Hampshire. The areas that we serve are: The Albany Rensselaer Area, Berkshire County Area, Green Mountain Area, Mid-Hudson Area, Mohawk River Area, Seaway Trail Area and the Southern Adirondack Mountain Miracles Area.

When groups are ready to reopen in-person meetings it is suggested that the groups have a detailed plan for reopening these meetings. As NA groups, we need to keep our Traditions in mind (paraphrased here):
4th Tradition – "Each group should be autonomous except in matters affecting other groups or NA as a whole."
10th Tradition – "Narcotics Anonymous has no opinion on outside issues; hence the NA name ought never be drawn into public controversy."
12th Tradition – We should practice spiritual principles in all our affairs, including selflessness, responsibility, trustworthiness and compassion.
We may also want to consider these statements from the 3rd Tradition when considering reopening to a limited capacity room: BASIC TEXT - "We feel that the ideal state for our Fellowship exists when addicts can come freely and openly to an NA meeting, whenever and wherever they choose, and leave just as freely". IT WORKS HOW AND WHY - "We are encouraged to open wide the doors of our meetings to any addict who wishes to join. We are asked to extend to others the care and concern that helped each of us find a sense of belonging. The Third Tradition helps NA grow by encouraging us to welcome others.".

"The message is that an addict, any addict, can stop using drugs, loose the desire to use, and find a new way to live. Our message is hope and the promise of freedom."
